Are you a young adult with cancer or a blood disorder who is single or dating? Are you looking to learn more about dating with cancer or a blood disorder? Join the Young Adult Program and Young and Strong for a fun workshop about sex and dating!

This event is most appropriate for those ages 18 to early 40s of all genders who have been diagnosed with cancer or a blood disorder and are single, interested in dating, or starting a new relationship. During this event, you will be able to have some of your questions about sexual health and dating answered by experts and connect with other young adults.

This event will include a presentation from experts Sharon Bober, PhD, director of Dana-Farber's Sexual Health Program, and Lydia Chevalier, PhD, a Dana-Farber researcher who specializes in young adult sexual health after cancer. They will lead a conversation on topics as such as: 

  • Common concerns about how cancer can affect sex, dating, and relationships
  • Practical strategies to address any common concerns
  • Facilitate group discussions with your peers 

After the presentation, there will be a space for attendees to ask questions. Attendees can anonymously submit questions before and on the day of.

This event will include appetizers and refreshments as well as a social hour. This event will be held in an inside space at the hotel. Food will primarily be towards the beginning of the event for the presentation portion. 


Learn how to get to the venue. This location is less than a mile from the Longwood Medical Area. Complimentary valet parking will be available.
