Global TravEpiNet: Global Travelers' Health National Research Consortium: Travel Health App Survey

Principal Investigators: Edward Ryan, MD, Regina LaRocque, MD

This is a research study. We want to learn more about how travelers use their mobile devices while they travel. We want to know what health and safety information travelers might want to receive through a travel health app on their mobile devices and whether they think a travel health app would be helpful to them.

Since you will be traveling internationally and have scheduled a travel clinic visit, have visited our website, have subscribed to our newsletter, or are just interested in travel health, we would like to hear from you. We hope about 500 travelers will take this survey.

This survey is completely anonymous. We will not collect any identifying information from you. Your answers will not be connected to you in any way.

Your anonymous answers may be used or shared with other researchers.

Your answers will not be used to guide your clinical care and no medical or sensitive information will be collected.

Participation is voluntary. Deciding not to participate will not affect medical care you receive at Mass General Brigham now or in the future, or any benefits you receive now or have a right to receive.

Our research is sponsored by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

You can contact the principal investigator of the study with any questions. Regina LaRocque can be reached at 617-643-5557 or at rclarocque@mgh.harvard.edu.

If you’d like to speak to someone not involved in this research about your rights as a research subject, or any concerns or complaints you may have about the research, contact the Mass General Brigham IRB at (857) 282-1900.
