Thank you for your interest in the premier statewide nursing preceptorship program in Maine. The program is provided free of cost for course participants, through funding provided by the Lunder Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine.

This program is designed to advance and support the recruitment, integration, satisfaction and retention of nurses in Maine.

The primary intended learning audience is experienced, direct care RN staff nurses, who work across health care settings in Maine and are interested in becoming preceptors.

Nurse managers and clinical nurse educators are welcome to participate in the program and learn the program content, in preparation for working in partnership with RN program attendees from their organizations. The model for a working partnership will guide and support the on-going development of new preceptors. Please Note: To register for the program, nurse managers and clinical nurse educators are required to have at least one RN attending the program from their organization.

Nursing school faculty are welcome to participate in the program and learn the program content, in preparation for working in partnership with RNs assuming adjunct faculty roles within their colleges/universities. The model for a working partnership will guide and support the on-going development of new adjunct faculty members.

This is a blended learning program consisting of easy-to-use online modules follwed by two half-day live virtual workshops.
